Hello and welcome to my August monthly recap! The series about spilling the tea and sharing my new goals.
Oh August, what a rollercoaster! This past month provided the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Let’s have a look behind the screen.

August Monthly Recap
The Highlights
I kinda missed the entirety of August! I blinked my eyes once and it was over.
As for highlights:
- Doggy walks. We started walking with the dogs again (well with Hazelnut, my Rottweiler is a bit reactive and extremely strong). They love it and Hazy could do with losing some weight *lol*.
- Etsy launched! I celebrated my shop launch with a braai, wine, and amazing people. I’ll elaborate on that a little more later.
The Challenges
It was a tough month y’all. I finally got the point of burnout – that’s why there’s one less blog post.
However, I see it as a lesson. I need to improve my work-life balance. It’s heavily skewed towards work. I think about new ideas and strategies 24/7.
The result?
- No sleep.
- Burnout.
- Anxiety.
- Self-doubt.
So, September is all about balance. I need to figure out how to turn my thoughts away from work.
I wasn’t sure if I should include this section but I hope one of you might read this and realize you’re on the same path.

What happened with my goals?
Well, I set the bar way too high – oops. As is said, August was a rollercoaster.
Here’s a rundown of my goals vs my results (my Pinterest data for the 31st of August is still loading at the time of posting this):

- The goal: 500 000
- The result: 607 684
- Pinterest Outbound Clicks:
- The goal: 10 000

- The result: 368
As for my other goals:
- I did finish reading a book! Guys, this is a huge win for me. I read “Temperaments – Which Color Is Your Personality?” by Lynette Beer. 10/10 recommend! It’s an eye-opening experience to understand why you are the way you are.
- My social media is still dead. I am (hopefully) going to change that soon.
What about Etsy?
My Etsy shop, CWS Digitals Studio, went live on the 15th of August! ANNNDDD I made my first sale withing 24 hours!
It’s been a goal for years and I finally did it. I sell digital and printable products that align with personal development and goal-setting. Well, and the occasional fun wall print.

Some of August's Products

“Great Product! Searched through many different ones and this was the best of the lot! Slowly working through it and will add a couple of things, but other than that it is great. Had to break it down into individual pages, so will have to relink things once completed but overall happy with the design. And from a fellow South African!”

Goal-Setting For September
So, I cooled down September’s goals due to August’s trajectory. I will not be delulu (well, for this month at least).
Here we go:

- 9000 Pinterest outbound clicks
- 22 500 Blog pageviews
- 15 000 Blog session
- 430 Email subs

September’s primary focus is balance. I want to reach all my goals but mostly want to recenter myself.
