Bridal Shower Game Ideas
1. Advice & Wishes
It is always a good idea to add a ‘keepsake’ game to your bridal shower itinerary. Let guests fill out an ‘advice and wishes’ card for the bride to cherish.
2. Would She Rather
A classic game where the guests guess which option the bride would rather do. These prompts can pertain to the wedding or to her life. For example:
Tea or coffee
Live music or DJ
3. He Said, She Said
Let the guests guess who said which phrase between the bride and groom, or both. For example:
Who said “I love you” first
Who tends to say “We don’t need directions”
4. Bride or Groom
This one is similar to He Said, She Said, but instead of quotes, these prompts include things such as,
Better cook
More romantic
Will cry on the wedding day
5. Guest Bingo
Let guests try to find other guests who represent the prompts. The first to get five in a row (or as many as they can) wins. For example:
Has a master’s degree
Is wearing pink shoes
Has two dogs
6. Who Knows the Bride The Best
A simple game with questions about the bride. The guest who has the most correct answers wins! For example:
Bride’s guilty pleasure
When is the wedding date
Where did the couple meet
7. Scattergories
In Scattergories, you create a word for each category using the letters in the word you provide, each matching the first letter of the word. For example, if you use the word LOVE and the category flowers. Your answers could be:
L – Lavender
O – Orchid
V – Violet
E – Elderflower
8. International Love
A classic match-the-column A to column B game. Let guests guess which language best translates ‘I love you’. For example:
Ek is lief vir jou – Afrikaans
Je t’aime – French
9. Over or Under
Guess whether the correct answer is over, under, or exact from the numbers shown. Your prompts could include:
There are 52 days until the wedding
The couple have known each other for 5 years
10. Word Scrabble
This bridal shower game is pretty straightforward. Scramble wedding-related words and let guests unscramble them. For instance:
ORMGO – Groom
DEWDING – Wedding
11. All Eyes On The Bride
Let’s see who paid attention. The bride leaves the room, and the guests have to answer questions from memory. For example:
How many rings is she wearing?
What color is her nail polish?
12. Memory Lane
A fun way to say ‘guess the age’. Display photos of the bride at different ages and let the guests guess the age; the one with the most correct answers (or the closest) wins.
13. Where Were They
Similar to Memory Lane, place photos of the couple at different locations and guess where they were.
14. Recipe Card
This is less of a bridal shower game and, again, more of a keepsake. Hand out recipe card templates (or request recipes beforehand) for the guests to fill out.
15. Wedding A-Z
Let guests write one wedding-related word for every letter of the alphabet! Expect giggles and fun deliberation amongst them.
16. Pass The Gift
Wrap a gift, then have guests sit in a circle or however you prefer. Read the prompts and have them pass the gift to the person who fits the prompt. Some examples include:
Pass the gift to the person who has known the bride the longest.
Pass the gift to the person who has traveled the furthest to be here.
17. What’s In Your Purse
Create a point system for items typically found in a woman’s purse. Let the guests calculate how many points their handbags have. Make the items more absurd as you increase the points. For example, a book or Kindle equals ten points, whilst a pen equals one point.
18. What’s On Your Phone
An alternative to What’s In Your Purse. Similarly, you create a point system for things found on phones, making it more absurd as the points increase. For example, a photo of your pet is worth 1 point, whilst a phone charm is worth 10 points.
19. Guess The Dress
This one is probably my favorite bridal shower game! Let guests draw what they think the bride’s dress will look like. Announce the winner on the wedding day to avoid spoilers.
20. Date Night Ideas
Put out tickets where guests could write fun date-night ideas. Again, this is more of a keepsake idea than a game, but I’d strongly recommend adding at least one keepsake ‘game’ to her day.
21. Guess The Candy
We tend to make this the first game of the day. Place a jar filled with candy at the entrance and let the guests guess how many candies are in it. The one closest to the correct number wins the jar of candy.
