Are you looking for summer solo date ideas that you’ll actually love? Welcome, babe, you came across the ultimate list to romanticize this season!
It is fun to spend time with friends and family, but sometimes we need some me time to realign and recenter ourselves.
Solo dates are a great way to accomplish that.

Summer Solo Date Ideas
1. Golden Hour Bike Ride
If I think of summer, I immediately associate golden hour with it. And what better way to channel your main character energy than by taking a bike ride?
2. Girl Dinner And A Summer Movie
How good does this sound?! Get yourself a plate of fries, macaroni and cheese, or put together a charcuterie board and indulge in your favorite nostalgic summer film. Some of my favorites include:
I must admit, I’ve never visited a botanical garden *runs to add to bucket list*. That being said, I’ve seen jaw-dropping forests in my life, and those walks are forever imprinted in my memory.
4. Zoo or Aquarium Outings
What better way to spend some solo time than surrounded by magnificent creatures? Yes, I’m an animal fanatic and wildlife enthusiast. Check out my safari-dedicated TikTok here. Visit your closest zoo or aquarium on your next summer solo date.
5. Hike To A Waterfall
If you are so blessed to live near a waterfall or even just a scenic hike, make this your next me-time activity. Remember to use sunscreen and wear clothing appropriate for your environment.
6. Cinema and Over-Buttered Popcorn
In an era where cinemas are dying, make it your next side quest to see a movie on the big screen. Oh, and definitely over-spice or over-butter your popcorn. Calories don’t count at cinemas.
7. Park + Headphones + Reading
As a newly converted book girly, this sounds like heaven! Go to your nearest park, pack your headphones, and take your current read on a sun-soaked reading session. If you are interested, I compiled a Spotify playlist for romance readers(you can find it here).
8. Solo Picnic
We can’t write this list without mentioning the classic solo picnic date. Pack your picnic basket, grab a blanket, and enjoy nature. You can even keep it in your backyard if you don’t feel like going out in public.
9. Color Hunt Walk
Why go on a simple walk if you can turn it into a mini side quest? I’ve seen this color hunt trend all over my fyp. Pick a color, grab your phone, and take photos of everything you can find in that color. Bonus points if you make a collage at the end.
10. Vineyards And Wine
Wine girlies, gather here. Find your nearest vineyard and go wine tasting. Pair it with nougat, olives, or cheese (my favorite is nougat). Also, imagine the Instagram-worthy photo opportunities! Just remember: take an Uber and don’t drive yourself.
11. Berry Picking And Summer Dresses
Stroll through a berry farm on your next summer solo date. Oh, and dress for the occasion. Imagine a feminine summer dress or even overalls and a bandana. 10/10 recommend!
12. Cloud Watching On A Hammock
Okay, you don’t necessarily have to be on a hammock, but the idea seems kinda fire. Anyways, lie back and watch the clouds drift in the sky. Look for shapes or just soak in the moment.
13. Visit a Flower Stand
Girls, I wish we had a flower stand where I live. We have floral shops, but I mean those stands you see in the movies… If you have one of those, create a solo date around it. Buy some fresh flowers and visit a cafe for the complete main character ambiance.
14. It’s Fair Time
Okay, I don’t know when fair time is. But the one I visited during my two years in the USA was around April. Close enough to summer, lol. Regardless, look up your closest fair or amusement park and get the adrenaline pumping. Ride the roller coasters, play the games, and eat way too much.
15. Spa Day and Pampering
In contrast, opt for a relaxing spa day on your next summer solo date. You can book yourself in at your nearest spa or create a pamper day at home. Chill in a facemask while soaking in a rose-petal bubble bath.
16. Sunset Watch And Sundowners
Find the perfect spot to watch the sunset and indulge in a sundowner. This is one of my favorite activities when we go on holiday to the Kruger National Park. However, you might want to opt for a non alcoholic beverage if you are in public.
17. Late Night Ice Cream Run
This is another staple in any summer solo date ideas list. Take your car and go on a late-night ice cream run. Again, calories don’t count on solo dates.
18. Summer Time Tan
Nothing says summer like poolside tanning. Pour yourself a lemonade, take your towel, and relax at the pool for that summer glow. Remember SPF though ♥.
