We are so caught up in the hymn of life that we forget to pause and think about ourselves. We are only granted one try at life, and it is important not to waste it. As of today, show up for yourself, babe.
Self-love is not selfish.

6 Ways to Show Up For Yourself
1. Keep The Promises You Make To Yourself
This is at the number one spot for a good reason. I believe this to be the purest form of self-love.
Do the things you say you are going to do.
It is a hack that will obliterate any potential regrets you might have when you look back on your life.
So you want to write a book? Do it. You say you are going to create a YouTube channel. Do it. Show up for yourself by doing good on your promises.
2. Never Settle
I don’t know about you, but I will never settle for less than I want. I have a dream and a vision of what I want my life to look like, and I won’t rest until I get it.
Yes, it is a delusional mindset. But no successful person has ever settled for less.
Don’t settle for a partner that doesn’t meet your standards. Don’t settle for a career you hate. Don’t settle for an existence that doesn’t excite you.
3. Prioritize Your Peace
Say no.
Do not allow anything to steal your peace. The best way to do this is to learn how to say no. You have to set boundaries on what you’ll permit in your life.
4. Be Picky With Who You Let In
Not everyone deserves a seat at your table.
Only allow certain people into your inner circle:
Those who support you
Those who help you grow as a person
Those who don’t break you down
And people you don’t feel like you compete with all the time.
5. Let Go of Guilt
Guilt is a nasty bugger, and it comes in many shapes. The one I’m referring to is the guilt of not doing anything productive.
The moment you sit down to read a book or watch a movie, you start to get restless because you aren’t productive. You cannot relax because your mind is working overtime thinking of everything you can do instead. Can you relate?
Allow yourself moments of “nothingness”. Unproductive things in themselves can be productive because they recharge you.
6. Look After Yourself
Show up for yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Drink enough water, cut down on the fast food, read your Bible, and have mental check-in days. It is the simple things that make the biggest impact.
That’s a wrap on my top ways to show up for yourself. Each one of these things will transform your life in the best way possible. So let go of guilt, be picky, and do things you say you are gonna do.
