Oh boy, my September monthly recap may be the wildest one yet! Literally. No, not in terms of goals and milestones but in terms of memories and well… elephants!
Welcome to my not-so-secret diary! A monthly series where I spill the tea about the life behind the screen.

September Monthly Recap
The Highlights
Where do I start? September was jam-packed with awesome memories and unforgettable highlights.
1. Birthdays Galore
September is the month of birthdays in my family – my mom, husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and then there is a whole list of extended family in between.
My mother’s birthday fell on the same day as my niece’s school concert – a busy day indeed.
We had an amazing 30th birthday braai bash for my brother-in-law!
But as some of you might know by now, my husband and I are 15000 km apart so it’s not always the most cheerful celebration, unfortunately.
2. The Elephant Incident
I am South African and would live in a game reserve if given the slightest chance!
My parents and I went to Pilanesberg Game Reserve, as we often do, and I experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event… An elephant spewed me with muddy water… in the wild… It’s crazy!
I’ve been going to nature reserves for 22+ years and never have I heard anything like it; yet there I was my leg soaked with muddy water!
As a side note for my international friends: If you ever decide to visit South Africa for a safari please don’t underestimate elephants. They are dangerous. Always keep a safe distance and remain in your vehicle ♥.
Do you want the full story? I’m contemplating creating a new social media account dedicated to safaris and South Africa. Let me know if you’d be interested in something like that.
3. Mall Adventure
My mom, sister, and I went on a day trip to a mall in a city nearby. We had Starbucks, window shopped, and ate at Parrots. Peek me sipping on my mocktail cosmopolitan below *lol*.
4. The Social Media Revival
I am finally (after months) reviving my social media accounts. However, this time I am trying something *new*. I am sticking to original content with my actual voice. I was terrified to put my voice out there but I did it!
Go check it out if you’re curious about my accent! I’d appreciate all of your support ♥.

Conclusion
I am super excited for October after having an incredibly memorable September ♥. Sometimes it’s not always about hitting the goals but about the process and memories you make along the way.
